Toffee malt and slight hop on the aroma of this deep amber beer. Full in body, lots of toffee and crystal malt, some fruitiness coming through and a developing English hop bitterness which is a touch ascerbic yet not unpleasant and balances the sweetness well. The honeyed malt in the aftertaste balances the remaining bitterness then a hint of hopflower appears at the finish with a balance of bitterness and malt and more pronounced honey; not bad, considering it’s from a tiny "homebrew" kit!
