A cracking beer from the depths of Wales, with hopping levels that would find favour on the other side of the pond. Lots of floral, zesty, spicy hop aromas and flavours. However, the brewery has combined that with a rich premium bitter style to produce a beautifully structured brew. Good balance between body and bite, with a ligering hoppy aftertatse. Mixing US hops with traditional British varieties (Cascade and Fuggles in this instance) is something that more British brewers should try. I wish I could get my hands on some of this in cask. Bottled (bottle conditioned) from onlyfinebeer. BBE 31 August 2004.

Toasted malt taste with some sweetish tones in the middle. Concludes with a slightly gritty, drity bitterness. Nice transitions. Medium body. Alright! YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany
