Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Deep amber. Spicy hops and ripe fruit. Mid dry with light-medium body and soft mouthfeel. Some caramel and dusted fruits, giving it a sort of harvest ale character. Balanced and nicely drinkable.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy amber beer, residual white head. Light palate. Dry and low carbonation. Tangy orange hops, somewhat insipid. Trace of minerals. Dry finish.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival (Day 1) on 6 December 2011. Noted at 3.8%. Gold colour. Clean but soft. Not a lot happening to be honest. Condition maybe not the best.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Amber colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, wooden and mildly vanillaish. Flavour is wood, fruits, some herbs and mild caramelly and crystal malty notes. Mild nuttyness show up in the finish as well.

Cask, gravity at The White Horse, Hedgerley, Bucks 16.04.11 Amber in colour, fruity with a bitter malty finish. Not sure that this was totally my thing found there to a be a littkle bit of washing up liquid taste in the backl of the mouth and the bitterness and fruitiness were lacking somewhat. Bottle, filtered but not pasteurised from Conwy Fine Wines. Aroma; hopsack, dried apricots, pine, Southern Comfort, teenage sickbowl, wholemeal and ginger nuts. A hearty blend of hops, malt and discreet weirdness. Clear and lagery with a tight white head holding up well. Body fine and slick, moving into politely resinous hop, spruce, bilious citrus..marmalade you might call it. Honey and biscuits late on, but generally hop-driven. Engaging and tasty with the kind of slipperiness, mellow soapy hop and biscuit that disappears before you even realise you’ve started drinking it. Pretty good.

Cask conditioned at Fleetwood Beer Fest 2010. Amber with white head. Good drinkable light hoppy bitter, nice and grassy hops on a crisp biscuity body. Enjoyable session ale.
