Cask (gravity) @ 27th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2010, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.

Unclear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, spicy, cinnamon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sipcy, cinnamon, to spicy for me ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20101202]

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 3 on 2 December 2010. Reddish colour. Rather murky. No head. Initial impression is sweet. Lots of plummy fruit. Not much hop presence. Nonetheless, the flavour remains rich but not too cloying. Not too boozy either. Not bad.

Pigs Ear. Hazy brown beer, no head. Semi dry palate. Zero carbonation. Mildly spiced malt, cinnamon, cloves. Dry finish. A bit dull but drinkable.
