A special dark ale. Not excessively sweet, but dominated by burnt chocolaty flavours balanced with hops. Not to be taken lightly!

Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival, day 2 (beer #19) on 1 December 2010. Labelled as Mwnci Mild but I guess it’s the same stuff. In fact, I thought this seemed as much like a mild as a porter. Some chocolate and a touch of burnt malt. Dry and a little ashy/charcoal. OK but I’m not convinced it was in top nick. Flagged for re-rate.
