First brewed in 1909 as a draft (chopp) beer. Launched as a bottled beer in 1934.
"Light, bright and crystalline beer. It is lighter, with the classic mouthfeel of a lager beer, strong body flavor, neutral aroma, bitterness level less accentuated and medium alcoholic content."

I canít believe the negative ratings Iíve seen here for Brahma Chopp. The most likely reasn is that reviewers never got to taste the real thing which is UNPASTEURIZED and prsunmably not available outside Brazil. Having lived in Rio for 2 years 1956-58 and having tasted beer in many European countries and other venues I would say that the only country where I had beer as good as B/C was Germany. I also had excellent Heineken in St. Maarten , a Dutch possession for a long time, which apparently gets good Heineken beer somehow. Heineken available in the US is garbage, like all major bottled/canned beer available in this country since all of it is pasteurized. PASTEURIZATION RUINS EVEN THE BEST BEER. I drink Pilsner Urquell since itís the least bad, but I cry when I imagine how good the real thing must be in the Czech Republic. IS THERE NO WAY OF GETTING BOTTLED, UNPASTEURIZED BEER OTHER THAN THOSE INFERIOR "MICROBREWERY" PRODUCTS? WHY CANíT BRAHMA CHOPP BE IMPORTED REFRIGERATED?

A pretty basic lager, not much in its favor but not much against it either. Golden with a thick white head. Watery with some biscuit finish.

Served at every World Cup match, with your only other choice being Budweiser (thanks InBev). Sweet, grainy, slightly corny, bland. Thankfully this is served at 1-degree Celcius, otherwise it would ve un consumable. At least it comes in cool collectible plastic cups!

This is sad that this is one of the better Brazilian pale lagers. Light but at least isnít as funky and rice laden as the others.

It is a typical Brazilian light flavoured pale lager served ice cold on tap only but is preferable to the bottled or canned versions for having a smoother maltier palate and less "chemical" flavours. By no means great shakes but the options for decent beer in Brazil are quite limited and this is widely available.

Can 0,5ltr: Golden colored brew with an slightly anoyning sweet aftertaste, not great this water like beer. And all those football fans drinking it in the stadiums at the World Cup 2014. Bought this beer at Finalmente in Rotterdam, just another tick.

Good and very light lager reminiscent of Corona and Sol. Works great as a thirst quencher.

Not good in any way or fashion. I drank it because it said Brazil on the bottle. I donít have any notes apart from that.
