1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: APR 17, 2012 Almost totally black with a bubbly short lived light brown head. Aroma is sweet with some caramel. Taste is the usual Brazilian Malzbier sweet syrupy flavour. Quite disgusting like all the rest of them. I don’t understand the idea behind Brazil making these beers. Dreadful

Warning! Early amateur rating! Several bottles of this in Rio and other parts of Brazil. I tried getting other people enthused but I wasn’t thanked! Ha! Very sweet dark beer. Lots of sweet dark malt and soft palate. Found this went well with the salty spicy Churrasco meat.

0.35 l can, thanks Elina and Sami. Dark red color. Sweet malty, nutty, metallic and cola like aroma. Sweet cloying, nutty and caramelly flavor. Sweeter than lemonade, far too sweet.

Dark nut brown color, steady creamy beige head. Grainy, dusty, nutty, caramelly nose. Very sweet, artifically sugary flavor. Lots of molasses, Coca cola, some toasted brown sugar. Sticky palate. One of the sweetish beers I have had. Brasilian Cola beer.

Best Malzbier in Brazil. Malzbier, in Brazil, means a dark e sweet beer so, if you don´t like sweet beers, don´t spend your money in a brazilian malzbier.

Can. Bought in Brazil. Roasted malt and some wood in aroma. Dark brown colour with light brown head. Very sweet flavour, like ab low alcohol Christmas brew. Plenty of malt and brown sugar.

Thanks to dm9831 for the 350ml can. It pours a dark brown, nearly opaque, with a skinny tan head. The aroma is a blending of cola, wort, and mineral water. I was told that this was sweet, but, Egads!, it nearly rotted my teeth out afore I could finish it. Very sugary to taste, so much so that one barely notices the dark malt in it. They should try fermenting this thing!

dark brown, medium tan head that quickly reduces to bubbles, not much lacing. aroma of dried fruit, some sweet note. nothing in the look or smell prepared me for the overwhelming sugariness of the flavor. medium bodied, cloyingly sweet finish. sampled this at The Colonial Grill, Rua Barreto Leme, 1900
