I got a six pack of this from bridgeview liquors. it pours a dark amber color with a craem colored head that leaves quickly. smell is hoppy and sweet. Great taste big full body IPA great bitter start with a sweet malt finish. Great Job Guys, keep up the brewing. If anyone wants to try this let me know soon because this six pack will be gone quickly.

Not much of a scent, has a nice bitter but I'm not a huge fan of the sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Zipp’s Liquors in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear golden amber colored ale with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a film top. Aroma of citrus zest, some mild raisin, light caramel malt, and a touch of leather. Taste is medium bodied, soft carbonation with flavors of both floral and grassy hops, a hint of tropical fruit, mild yeast and some grapefruit. Finish is semi-dry, with a lingering red grapefruit aftertaste and mild bitterness. A solid light barley wine-style IPA.

This is just downright bad. Smell of grain, muted hops, and gasoline. Tastes like expired soy sauce, astringent exploitation of summer days, and hops picked in the middle of winter. Kinda tastes similar to what it would be like to get a mouthful of lake water after someone urinated in it off the side of a boat with a running motor.

Sorry, this just isn’t very good. Pours a dark, coppery-yellow, with little in the way of head. Aroma of hops is rather muted. The flavor is just off--there’s a really strong aftertaste reminiscent of rusty well water. Maybe I got hold of a bad bottle, but this is one of the worst IPAs I’ve come across recently.

12 oz. bottle. Barley-wine-esque aroma features honey, yellow plum, cotton candy, lemon, and white dessert wine scents as well as a chalky dryness. Pours brass/bronze/tan-orange. Liquid is hazy with some suspended particulate. Moderate amount of small, slow-rising bubbles. Large amount of thick, uneven, light taupe head. Produces very good lacing. It’s a substantial-looking beer. Dry, lightly metallic, astringent, sour, and salty taste. Yeasty-clean component. Improves on multiple sips, but there’s an amateur, homebrew quality to this beer. Very dry, bitter, long aftertaste. I like the aftertaste more than the flavor. Medium body. Soft in the palate. Brainerd Lakes First Pull IPA is interesting, but I can’t go so far as calling it “good.”

Murky rusty color with smallish white head. Fruity citrus caramel aroma. Taste - Hints of grapefruit, orange and green apple. Well balanced with a caramel malt backbone. A little thin but drinkable, even refreshing. Pleasantly surprised. A better than average IPA.

Sampled this at The Dabbler yesterday evening. A very pleasant IPA. Easy drinking, and a bit too mild for my taste but not bad.

Aroma: Not as strong on the hops as I would like for an IPA, more grainy Appearance:color looks great, minimal lacing and very quickly dissapating head. Taste: Similar to the aroma, has more of a grainy taste than hoppy, piney, citrus. Palate: does have the dry finish of an IPA which is nice. Overall: Bought this beer to support local brewign in the state, might try some of the other brews they offer.

Pours a deep hazy amber with a fluffy white head. Very subdued aroma of caramel and floral/citrus hops. Tast was the same subdued flavor. Quaffable but needs sOme more hop presence. A little light on the pallet.
