On cask at the Cottage in Wales. Pours a copper color with a medium white cask head. The aroma is very sweet glue-like hops. A sweet flavor of spicy and glue-like hops, some toasted malts. Decent.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7835) - Bochum, GERMANY - APR 13, 2010
(can, 44cl) Slightly unclear, pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Mildly sweet and malty aroma with shy fruity accents and a tinge of liquorice and traces of spicy hops. Faint bitter flavour, light bodied with slightly crispy mouthfeel. Malty and fruity taste with shades of liquorice and shy hints of hops towards the slightly fruity and short finish. Not bad at all. 07.IV.10
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 pivnizub (8046) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 12, 2010
Can (found by Stefan!): Greenish-golden, relatively quickly collapsing loose white head; sweetish-grainy nose with very light illusions of (english?) hops; light sweet flavour with a bitter touch, light bodied as expected; increasing hoppyness towards the sweet and bitter finish. Not too bad, but top-fermented british brews seem to be better.....
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Allen (2689) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 27, 2010
Canned 440ml. Big thanks to Quack-Duck for this one! Clear golden appearance. Sweet diacetyl nose with marshmallows, candied fruits, caramel and walnuts showing up. Good head retention and beautiful lacing. Sweet. Low bitterness. I believe this beer really serves its purpose. Underrated in my opinion. Clearly not a lager despite its clear color. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!

can from Tesco in Pont-y-pŵl. Clear yelow colour with a mid-sized head. Fruity-malty nose. Medium-bodied, malty, slightly hoppy with a fruity touch. Seems to combine typical characteristics of lager with the fruityness of some ales. This combination works out, I liked it.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bozoNZ (715) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 1, 2009
330ml bottle. Lightish golden with thin head that falls to lace pretty quick. Aroma very artifical - a bit perfume. Slight skunky notes. Soft feels like a holey ale a bit really. Sweetish, light tangy but finishes quite thin.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jfb (2633) - GERMANY - OCT 22, 2008
(draught, at Court Royale, Aberystwyth) clear golden colour with a creamy white head. aroma of buttered pale malts, light herbal hops and an unpleasant whiff of buttermilk. flavour is perfumed floral hops with light pale malts, surprisingly smooth. light to medium body with medium carbonation and a light bitter finish.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Demise (57) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 16, 2008
A traditional lager, golden in colour with a white fizzy head which does not last long. Subtle malt and hop aromas with a hint of vanilla, but not much on the nose. The hops with the first taste came as a surprise after such muted aromas. The malt comes through to balance the slight bitterness nicely, with a touch of passionfruit. The finish is incredibly smooth - almost wheat beer-like - with subtle vanilla and even cinnamon flavours complementing the initial taste for a well-rounded beer. While the ABV of 4.5% will do little damage to the brain, the even flavours of Brains 45 makes this quite drinkable.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 wheresthepath (1294) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2008
[on tap at Ferryboat Inn, Fishguard] Nice deep gold with a large, smooth white head. Too fizzy by half. Honey dominates with some dusty hay and a slight sourness. Not bad for a pale lager.
