1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, - OCT 10, 2004
Can, pasteurised. Pale amber with fizzed head. Was given a can of this whilst watching the England vs Wales Footie, the beer was as pathetic as the welsh effort, little substance a bit over the top, just fizz really. Some points for staying in contention but thats all.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JulienHuxley (1148) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - APR 24, 2012
On tap (nitro) at a bar in Petersburg. Copper colored pour with slow guiness style creamy foam rising to the top. Served in this way, it resembles more a cream ale than an actual bitter. Aroma of light cereals, lots of caramel, light english hops - none of the usual veggie aromas, smells fresh. Taste is kind of watery, light caramel and slight cereal finish. Palate is light and creamy, very drinkable. This beer could use a bit more flavor, it’s a little too watery. Very easy drinking though.

Can 500ml at the Dicken’s. Nice malty bitter. Aromas of caramel and grain. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

Listed as Brains Smooth Extra Cold 3.7%. I guess this is the same beer. Pours a large white head with a golden hue. The aroma is sweet malty honey. The flavor is spicy and glue-like hops, light flavors in all. Some light malt. OK.

Fairly average bitter, not that strong 3.5% tinned version I had, no strong flavours but not a bad session bitter with a dry finish

(can, 44cl, 3.5% abv) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a mid-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Moderately sweet and slightly sour fruity (cara-)malty aroma with a tinge of ginger and shy hoppy notes. Slightly sweet and minimal sour flavour, light bodied with a mild carbonation. Slightly fruity (cara-)malty taste with a slightly bitter hoppy blend, especially towards the finish. 07.X.09
