2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2013 On cask at Sherlock Holmes in Aarhus. Good Guinness like stout, but like most it doesn’t measure up to the mother of all stouts. It is one of the better ones out there though. A little lighter and thinner than beforementioned queen of the blacks, with more bitterness in the heart of it, and quite buttery in the head. The carbonation is very soft even for this type of beer and the main noteable touch is one of liqourice on both the back of the tongue and in the roof of the mouth. It was quite interesting, and I may be coming back for another round one of these days.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very dark, black once setled with nice creamy off-white foam head, leaving drink rings in glass. Aroma and taste are not that strong, that outstanding. Good beer, but not a wow feeling. Enjoyed it with my fish and chips. (Swansea 201312)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle sample at Oslo Ølbestival 2013.
Lovely aroma of tasat and malt. Very dark, creamy head. Soft, smooth. Coffee, bitter chocolate. This could be a fine standard stout instead of G. Not in any way extreme, but very pleasant.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can. Easily the thinnest stout that has ever passed my lips. Went down like a bottle of sports drink. Acidly bitter, not very subtle. Watery metallic flavours. Slightest hint of burnt chocolate. If you're looking for depth and richness, look elsewhere. But if you need a stout-flavoured drink in a pinch, it will do.

Keg at the crown, tenby. Pours dark reddish brown with creamy white head. Smells has the whiff of an old ashtray! Tastes better, roasted malts, slightly sweet finish. Not bad.
