500ml bottle. Poured with a creamy, lasting light tan head leaving an OK lace atop a deep, dark brown body. Quite pasteurised and empty. Some perfumey boiled sweet & buttery malts. Roasty & somewhat dry in the finish. Some tang on the end too. Medium body, carbonation & duration.

Tap (Black Door, Helsinki)
Very dark red, nearly black. Black tea aroma. Stodgy burnt roast body, but no astringency despite it being quite dry. Full and smooth palate, a little bit of carbonation cuts throught the smoothness. Pretty decent drinkable dry stout. A bit unsophisticated. Late finish is a bit astringent.

(can - 440 ml) Clear black pour with red highlights and a creamy nitro tan head. Mild chocolate and malt aroma with some sweetness under it. Flavor is very mild. Some lightly roasted notes with some roasted chocolate and then it dies quickly leaving a mildly bitter finish.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Black colour with a thin white head. Roasted malt, caramel and toffee aroma. Smooth texture. Earthy malt flavour. Aroma is awesome but let down with the lack of body and flavour. Thin finish.

On tap at a pub in Cardiff (forgot which one I had it at, it was available in many pubs). It had a light dark malty taste with a slightly roasted finnish. Light but creamy body.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Ølfestival 2012. A creamy, light tan head sits on top of a dark brown body. The aroma is roasted and coffee-ish, rather boring and one dimensional. The flavor is pretty much the same, although a bit more interesting than the aroma, but equally weak. Smooth, thin and dry on the palate. An easy drinking, but rather boring nitro-dispensed beer I won’t have again. 120512
