Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, - APR 25, 2006
Bottle 23-04-06 picked up in Tesco Bicester. Red in colour quite hoppy and bitter other than that I was distinctly unimpressed unfortunately it was a large 660 ml bottle so perserverance was the name of the game.

DruncanVeasey (5138) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - SEP 7, 2009
Bottle with Keith at The Penguin. Clear chestnut with a thinning off white rim. Marzipan and aniseed aroma. Allsorts- sodden. liquorice-dominated bitter; no bread and most certainly no heaven detectable, a little caramel and dried fruitiness. Sweet, creamy, unbalanced. An uninteresting confectionary-flavoured beer.

Maria (8576) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2007
07.08.05, Elgin, Scotland visiting Morag & Donald, bottle, a little too warm. It’s a nice golden head on this dark amber beer. The aroma has notes of aroma hops and a wee bit of malt. The flavour is sweetish, malty with notes of caramel and fruit. The finish is dry and lightly bitter.

imdownthepub (7470) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 8, 2007
Bottled, pasteurised, 660ml. Brown to chestnut with short head. Malty, doughy beer, thin and sharp with a carbonation twang. Not particularly very good and took some getting through.

pivnizub (7228) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - SEP 20, 2006
Bottle (660ml): Chestnut-amber coloured, medium-sized off-white foam; fruity, a bit dark-malty nose with a developing bitterness; light bodied, bitter, slightly sweetish flavour; bitter-fruity, almost a bit chocolatey finish. O.K., but not really well rounded........

Gethinbeer (1561) - Musky, Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 1, 2006
From bottle. Sweet fruity aroma, syrupy even. Bronze colour with a lovely frothy head. High Carbonation at first but disappears with the head. Very slight smokey hop taste, good balanced bitterness. Overall a good ale.

RichardGretton (3757) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2006
Bottle. Brown beer with a reddish tinge and a strong head. The aroma is dry and caramel and the flavour is caramel, dry and very bitter in a beery gasey way. Overall a nice caramel bitter.

harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2005
660ml bottle. Brown/red colour with beige head. Nice flowery hops and some fruity esters. Good hops throughout with dry tangy finish, certainly the hoppiest ale I have had from Brains and I must admit I was a bit surprised because I liked this more than I thought I would
