Boilermaker is a copper-coloured IPA brewed with Ben and Tom from Thinking Drinkers. Brewed with Chinook, Simcoe, Cascade and Willamette hops and matured with Penderyn whisky infused oak chips in casks from the distillery, the arts of distillation and brewing combine to create an epic Welsh IPA adorned with a fragrant citrus aroma, a touch of spice with hints of vanilla and a warm whisky finish.

Cask at Haymarket. I remember not being too impressed by the bottle I had in my pre-rating days. Much better on cask. Clear amber pour, thick white head. Taste is fruity sweet. There’s a subtle whisky note at the back end. Nice.

imdownthepub (9954) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 23, 2014
Bottled, 330ml from Morrisons in Banbury. Reddish copper with white head. This is quite a smooth, malty, fruity beer with a sweetish toffee background. Vanilla, Werthers originals then a smooth, fruity, prune flavour with port wine. Reasonable enough.
