3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Carabia (35) - Itä-Raasepori, - NOV 15, 2009
Really dark, almost black beer with a soapy and small head, that leaves a lot of lace. The aroma has some burnt malts, coffee and a little dark chocolate. The taste is bitterly roasted with some dark chocolate. There’s too much veggies in this if you drink it too cold.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerCast_Rich (1197) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAY 28, 2012
[500ml bottle at EBBC12] Black pour, almost no head. Thin scuddy lacing around the glass. Styrian Goldings in this, but they take a back seat so much it’s like they’re in the car behind. Thick molasses on the nose, more sweet molasses and coffee on the flavour. Ashen finish. Mouthfeel pretty good for a dark mild – smooth, and with plenty of flavour [19052012]
