COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask
A light, copper colour ale with a fresh, hoppy taste and a clean, bitter finish.
Brewed with two varieties of hops, combined with pale and crystal malts, Brains IPA is a well-balanced and easy-drinking pint.

Cask at the Three Guineas, Reading. Pretty decent, given the APV. An amber bitter, with a citrus aroma, and a lengthy bitter finish. Not one to linger over, but refreshing and well made.

Draught. This is a not so impressive bitter that is widely available in the UK. I would not seek it out but if its whats on offer its drinkable.

Cask at the Cricketers Arms, Bedford. Amber with a full white head. Faint but fresh aroma of pale malt and light citrus. A pronounced maltiness in the sweet taste. Just a hint of sweet-sour in the finish. Not a medal winner on any day of the week but much better than I expected... and it beats Brains Bitter any day.

Cask during london vacation. Amber color with coarse white head. Aroma fain, roasted, toast, dark caramel and faint perfumy notes. Taste is dry honey, toast, caramel with medium bitterness. Decent enough

Clear golden with smooth solid white lacing foam head. Fun to watch the beer settle. Not too much of an aroma, little hoppy. Does not taste like an IPA, a bitter indeed. Nice beer though. (Cardiff 201312)

Nice soft head. Smell of an unaired closed-up summerhouse. Less like an IPA and more like a traditional English Pub-ale. The hoppiness is not as apparent as usually is the case with an IPA. Anyway - a very enjoyable ale that I’d like to drink again.

Cask@waggonandhorses, oldbury. Amber beer with large creamy head and good lacing. Looks good. Aroma of faint malts. Taste is malts and a touch of caramel. Thin body. Easy to drink, plain bitter.

Cask @ The Hop Poles, because I’m a masochist. The pour’s medium gold with a small head. The aroma’s white bread, carmel, and far. The taste is more of the same. Weak tea, some caramel. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, this is a bit like a shark sandwich, you know?

Cask at the Lord Northbrook, Lee. Amber pour with a white head. Citrus and pear aroma. Citrus and light malt flavour. Fruity finish. Good session ale.

Lovely beer. Not the most bitter IPA. Smooth texture, subtle hop flavour. Very easy drinking. Make a great session beer.
