Clear light medium amber orange colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light to moderate hoppy, hop oil. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, plastic - smoke, fruity, hop oil. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110616]

Cask by handpump at State Bar, Glasgow (24 Mar 12) - clear amber ale with a thin white head, very mild caramel malt aroma, caramel, bit watery, easy to drink, good temperature, prolonged bitter aftertaste

Beaufort Arms, Kittle. A decent session bitter with a bit more malt, flavour and character than the Greene King IPA. Nice. Easy drinking.

Cask conditioned at The Chequers, Oxford. Amber to brown with thin white head. Thin, wishy-washy beer, malty to a point, slightly metallic. Not that much going for it.

Cask at Golden Eagle, W1. Copper coloured ale, main impressions are a toasty malt and bitter earthy hop flavour. It’s ok, decent enough for a session, quite forgettable.

Third-pint, cask, handpulled at B1 Seacole Brewery Bar, GBBF 2011. Dotted spots on the glass from a creamy, white head. Amber-gold body. Modest smell of grassy hops. Mild and watered malt-fruity taste. Faint bitter end. Too easy to drink, perhaps (London, 02.08.2011).
