Cask - West Gate Inn (JDW), Canterbury. Pale amber with a small, off-white head. Aromas of caramel, yeast, spice and TCP. The flavours are sweet toffee, nutty, slightly toasty with a dryish bitterness and a lightly spicy finish. On the thin side of medium in body with an average mouthfeel and low carbonation.

Cask - Yeast, earthy and fermenting cheese aroma. Amber in colour. Watery body. Butter and moderate bitter taste. Flat and very strange in taste. Hard to drink with its processed feel.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 7, 2011
First tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in October 2001. Cask , handpump dispense. Crystal clear mahogany red in colour with a thick creamy white head. Slight hint of black cherry fruit in the short nose. Creamy so smooth mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give smooth maltloaf base with redcurrant fruit, ripe brambles and blackcurrants. Spicy hops give a decent prickle in the dry aftertaste. Woody notes give a dry yet fruity finish. A really good session ale this.

Leighton (4093) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2010
Cask at the Cleveland Arms, London. Pours a clear, ruby-chestnut with a thin, white head. Fuity malt aroma with light nuts. Sweet, semi-boozy flavor with mild grape and cherry, and faint, earthy bitterness. Medium in body with soft carbonation. Some alcohol notes in the finish, with wood, dark malts and modest hops. So so.

Cask at The Regal JDW, Cambridge, 03-10-09 Pours dark amber, white head. There is a whiff of lavender on the nose with some malt. Taste is also malty but there I was surprised by hoppy burps. Nicely bitter, and whilst decent it never threatens greatness. A6 A3 F6 P3 Ov12 3.0
