Dpbry stout. Czarny jak smoła i prawie bez prześwitów. Tylko 4% alc a piwo mocno rozgrzewa. Gożki i wytrawny posmak czekolady i piernika świątecznego. Piana niestety mała i pęcherzykowa

50cl bottle of Brains Original Stout from Tescos, Hastings. A deep chestnut black colour with a loose creamy beige head; rich coffee and chocolate aroma; the texture is milky, but the taste is quite strongly bitter and lacking the expected sweetness; there’s some chocolate then a long dry finish with burnt demerara sugar and a slight warming at the end. A fine stout.

50cl bottle poured into a pint glass. Dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is slight chocolate. Very chocolatey flavor. Full body, moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty brew.

Pitch black coloured beer with a weak creamy coloured head. Rich nutty aroma, coffee, burnt sugar, dark chocolate and roast malt. Full, but dry mouthfeel. Bittersweet taste, all the elements from the aroma appear again, especially the coffee and malt, there is a hint of nuttiness that is matched with a thick dark fruit flavour. The bitterness lasts right through to the finish.

500ml bottle cool. Pours black with a dense tan head. Coffee aroma, and mocha flavour. There’s a bit of black treacle, slick and creamy mouth feel, and generous bitterness in the finish. Nice one.

Thick and dark witha taste of malted roast and treacle, a very good example of how a stout should be

A really nice stout. Roasted malts in the nose, perhaps a hint of chocolate. Dark, dark brown pour with a rocky tan head. Solid chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee flavor profile. Some bittering at the end. My only complaint would be is that it is a bit thin on the palate, otherwise very drinkable.

I’m going to also chime in with my bottle says Original Stout. Perhaps the Black is an alias for what everyone is actually buying???

Stout colored pour with a small tan head. A little bit of lacing left behind. a sour roasty aroma with hints of dark dried fruit. Sweet and bitter, with a big roasty finish. Nice velvety mouthfeel. A slight sweetness mixed in with the roast in the aftertaste. Nice everyday stout.
