2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
The classic Welsh Brains. Undeniable British but not as flat on bottle as often seen on cask. Very mild. Doesn’t insult anyone. Pleasent and a little dull.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sample from clear bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Served cold. Deep golden to amber colour, low white head (the bottle had probably been open a while): Modest "typical standard bitter" aroma with toffee notes. The flavour is not too sweet, and fairly refreshing, with nutty and biscuity notes and a hint of toffee. The hops are too moderate.

It pours an amber colour, with medium carbonation and a small head. Notes of coffee in the aroma and a little bitter in the end. Rather drinkable though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Auchan Market, Luxembourg City!
The beer in the glass is light copper colored with a flat head. It smells malty, bitter, grainy, caramelly-sweet, subtle sugary. Starts very caramelly, subtly sweet, very malty, spicy and slightly hoppy in the background. The middle part is caramelly-sweet, malty-bitter with some aroma hops. Goes into a caramel-malty finish, well balanced sweet and bitter, with a nutty flavor in the background.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice clear deep amber with lots of head that is bit foamy creamy and off-white, stays long and leaves good lacing. Bit roasted malting has caramel and nutty notes, dark bread also, grain. Lots of taste, malty, dry, slightly bitter, medium body and medium thick feel, long tasty finish, low carbonation. Your basic tasty english bitter, I like it.
