Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
"Brewed to a recipe combining pale and crystal malts with choicest traditional ale hop varieties. The beer has a long, deep, bitter-sweet finish with fruit and hop notes, a strong ale which is distinctively hoppy."
Michael Jackson 500 Classic Brews.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Hazy golden colour, tiny head. Malty aroma. Flavour has some hops which gives it a nice bitterness. Ok bitter.

Cask (Gatekeeper JDW,Cardiff) - Copper coloured with a slight haze. Lightly fruity aroma with some malt. Lightly tart taste with fruity hints. This could be on the turn so I think I will rate it again in future. Judging from DruncanVeasey’s comments below, this could’ve been a bad batch as I remember it being much better when I tried it before.

Cask at GBBF 08. Amber with a great malty aroma and flavour. Good honey notes too. Very smooth and wonderfully drinkable.

JDW, Cov. Still, headless chestnut. Almond, Custard Cream and hint-of -cherry nastiness. Surely not meant to taste like this? Atrocious and dull. Almost couldn’t take it. To be revisited elsewhere....

Cask@Coach&HorsesChepstow. Strong caramel aroma with a hint of butter. Orange color, creamy fine head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, some caramel, bit herbal hops in the finish. Soft mouthfeel, refreshing.
