COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
"Brewed to a recipe combining pale and crystal malts with choicest traditional ale hop varieties. The beer has a long, deep, bitter-sweet finish with fruit and hop notes, a strong ale which is distinctively hoppy."
Michael Jackson 500 Classic Brews.

Settles a clear copper with a thin head. Taste is dull but steady - bready with flat cereal undertones. Creamy on the palate with floaty toasted malts. Eminently drinkable but dissapates quickly. Homely but unspectacular.

Cask @Charlies i Köpenhamn. Bärnstensfärgad öl med lätt skum. Doften är fruktig med karamell och lätt blommighet. Smaken är ganska söt med frukt malt och en lätt jordighet.

Cask at the Goat Major, Cardiff. Copper brown with a thick creamy head. Sulphurous berry aroma, a bit of biscuity malt. Taste is robust, bittersweet with slightly sour edges. Malty caramel and tart berry dominate the flavour. Thicker body that one would expect. Slightly odd finish and aftertaste but all in all a decent and dependable if not outstanding cask bitter.

Cask at the Hounslow JDW, deep brown with a thin white head, nose has toffee and a hint of cocoa. Mid-full bodied with caramel, nutty and lightly fruity notes, touch of sweetness but nicely countered by an earthy and faintly herbal bitterness.

Beese (1668) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2014
Cask at the Moon Under Water, Watford. Poured a clear copper, with a dense white head and excellent lacing. Malty aroma, with some light grassy hop and caramel. Some bitter hop flavours, with biscuity malt and lemongrass. Finish was chewy grain, some copper and brown bread. About as mediocre as I recall, but well kept, at least.

Cask at the Crown Rivers, LHR T5, 28/02/14 0555 pre flight loosener. Clear golden with a moderate white covering. Nose is orchard fruit, light butterscotch, pears, perfumed tones, caramel. Taste comprises earthy bitter fruit, light citrus notes, bread dough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close laced with grassy bitterness. Ok I guess.
