Cask handpull, The Malt Shovel, Northampton. Skull Attack?! Why arenít the Portman Group jumping on this one? Or trade descriptions, for that matter? A pot of this piss dropped from 10ft couldnít attack the skull of a shrew. Headless red. Nothing aroma with a pipette of cherry. Imperceptible vegetables and cherry, biscuit and vanilla at a push, imaginary berries. Astonishing blandness.

JDW, Cov. Still, headless chestnut. Almond, Custard Cream and hint-of -cherry nastiness. Surely not meant to taste like this? Atrocious and dull. Almost couldn’t take it. To be revisited elsewhere....

Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of bread, hay and flowers. Thin and not that interesting to be honest.

An easy drinking bitter which Iíve enjoyed on plenty of occasions. Aug 2012 - first pint on draught for quite a while. Didnít enjoy it. Drying and sickly. I had been drinking all day though.

Cask. Nice pale gold with white top. Sweet malt hop nose with tangerine zestiness. Sweet oranges, mango, slight lime. Lots of fruity flavour and a nice sweet malt. Finish is bitter and pleasant.
