SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. A deliciously satisfying and refreshing pint!

Cask at the Newshouse, Nottingham. This is a pleasant enough golden ale. It is quite fruity and citrusy, if fairly unremarkable.

Cask conditioned at Harp, London, as SA Blond (?)
Amber color, thin creamy head. A simple Bitter, with light caramel flavor and the bitterness is lower than the average.

From cask. Clear and golden with a small white and slight fizzy head. Butterish and dry acidic note in the aroma. Flavour holds the same diacetyl with a light acidic touch. Smooth hoppy and mild citric. Totally gone malt profile. Bitter and slight acidic flavoured finish.

Cask. At The Cadogan Arms, Chelsea. Just a nice middle-of-the-road cask golden. Slightly hazy light amber with a small frothy off-white head. Sweet and lightly herbal aroma, vaguely tea-like. The taste comes through as quite floral, with a hint of apple skins - it finishes sweet. Thin body, oily mouthfeel, a little too flat, and it left a grainy/sweet aftertaste - but it quenched my thirst, so there you go.
