SA Gold is a full-flavoured, hoppy and refreshing golden ale, brewed at the home of the famous Brains SA in Wales. Careful use of Target hops creates a satisfying bitterness, perfectly balanced by vibrant citrus aromas and complex hop flavours from late-hopping using Cascade and Styrian Goldings. A deliciously satisfying and refreshing pint!

Very foamy head atop a golden brew. A pleasant aroma from this beer gives it a freshness. The hoppiness is medium in intensity but the beer is refreshing and light. Very enjoyable.

500ml bottle from Tesco - Hazy pale golden colour, medium white lacing head. Fruity aroma of ripe oranges and lime. Taste is rather on the sweet side, citrus fruit with a feint hint of bananas. Okay, but nowt special.

Pours one finger head, yellow golden body, clear. Some lacings. Scents of citric malts, citric hops, a mild sweet lemon spray. Tastes mild lemon, sweet malts, grassy fruity hops. Dry to palate, crispy carbonation. Finishes dry, fruity, citric, flourish, not longlasting. The 2014-brew seems to be milder and without resin and citrus peels, compared to ratings posted two years ago. Very easy to drink. 500ml clear bottle 4.7% b@smarket Finland, tasted@home Norway.

Bottled 500ml. K-Isolinna. BB 09/2013. Clear golden color, small white head. A bit skunky, salty English hoppy aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Nutty, woody, citrusy English hops in a bit too thin malt base. Standard British macro bitter. Not too bad, and even slightly better than keg version I had recently.
