I’ve always found this very hit and miss, but really nice when you get a good one. Fruity with a lingering bitterness.

1 Pint Cask @ the Hop Polles – this was retardedly expensive as opposed to their deserts which were quite cheep. Last one for the road…. I assume that this is the version that I had, if I remember correctly ABV matches. Pours a bright burned caramel with a very creamy, cask lacing head. Smell is mellow floral, light all the way with light hops, caramel and biscuit malts, toffee, light herbs. Taste is lightly bitter herbal, sticky, caramel, toffee, Tesco value pudding, grass, light herb, near aluminium touch. Mouthfeel is like a cross between nitro & cask. Bit bull but certainly not non-agreeable.

The head is good, the body gold-brown. The taste is malty, a bit hoppy-citrus, thats all, mild but not watery. 10/9/8/8/-/8

Tap at The White Horse. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head leaving some laces. Aroma is sweet malty a bit fruity citric and floral. Flavor is sweet citric grapefruits a bit malty bitter and some caramel. Finishes bitter malty and slightly sweet.

Excellent medium-bodied golden ale, very smooth drinking with a hop nose and some malts evident.

Draught at a bar in London next to the Thames. Golden blond coloured beer with a rather small white head. Almost no carbonation. Light fruity hinted aroma, lacks some clear aroma direction. Nothing special. Medium palate. Finish is light sweet and short hoppy sweet hinted. Very medium.

Pours golden with a dense white head. Aroma is malt, flower, light grass, light yeast and fruity notes. Flavour is malt, grass, earthy and light flower.

On tap at Cardiff Cottage. It poured a clear golden liquid. Lightly malty wiith some flowers and a bit fruity. Mild and easy to drink, goes down without leaving a footprint.
