3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 TheJollyOne (221) - Sydney, - NOV 3, 2011
Pillowy tan head, light brownish ruby body. Grassy caramel nose, quite similar to my early homebrew noses. Slightly sweet and hoppy opening, malty middle, and end of grassy hops with a quick finish on the taste buds. Very thirst quenching actually! Palate is bubbly like soda rather than soft and creamy, bit watery mouth feel.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nocturne (140) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2012
500ml bottle. Pours out amber with tonnes of head. It’s big on soft, buttery caramel in a pleasant, but not too exciting, way. Also features rather interesting piney and herbal hints on the nose and in the taste. Very relaxed but with just enough about it too keep it from being nondescript. Not bad.
