Rich, warming and deep in flavour. An old bitter in appearance and aroma, but not a bad drop overall.

Cask at Lemon Tree, London. Pours reddish brown with a little head. Aroma displays nutty and bready maltiness with a hint of caramel and raisin, interesting if a bit mild. Taste is medium sweet with malts providing the bulk of the flavours, caramel and bread on the forefront. Light to medium bodied, smooth palate. Decent sweet old ale, lacks body though.

Cask, coach and horses. Streatham. Pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is malty and a touch medicinal. Medium body, mild carbonation. Toffee cake. Sweet with very little bitterness and there's is very little going on, but it's perfectly drinkable. OK.
