Cask (Mitre, Cambridge)
Branny aroma. Lovely deep coppery red, brief head. Sweet as well as branny. Some almost solventy estery retronasals. Soft palate, carbonation low. Full malts in the taste, a little sweet and caramelly. Finish again a little sweet, and some honeyish pale grains. Too sweet for my tastes, but decent and no flaws. It is sessionable, and does endear itself to me eventually (i.e. I even bumped its score up on finishing it with a satisfied swallow).
