COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Continued to badged as Buckleys for some time after the takeover by Brains but that seems to have been dropped now.
The Rev. James is named after the founder of Buckley’s Brewery the Reverend James Buckley (1770 – 1839).
The Rev. James is brewed to a traditional recipe and has been described as having a flavour not commonly available these days. Full-bodied and warming, The Rev. James is rich in palate, spicy and aromatic with a deeply satisfying finish.

Cask at The Warwickshire Lad, Tanworth in Arden, Solihull. Poured a clear dark chestnut brown with a broken off-white head. The aroma is malty with a little fruit. The flavour is weak bitter with malt and fruit. There was a little sourness in the palate too which suggests we were coming to the end of the barrel even though it it was still drinkable. A decent session beer, nothing more.

Cask’Blue Stoops Chesterfield. Pours a ruby brown colour with hints of caramel and berries with a nutty aftertaste. Could do with a little more flavour and a touch of refinement. That said,it,s not a bad beer and one you could happily stay on all night. A similar beer to Olde Trip but not quite as good IMO.

Bom retrogosto no fim. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
