Bottle, from Sainsburys,Lincoln. Chestnut brown, thin but lasting off white head and moderate condition. Hints of caramel sweetness and a figgy fruitiness in the nose, quite dry in the mouth with a gentle chalky bitterness over a light caramel note and suggestions of woodiness, finish is brief and mostly chalky bitter.

Leighton (6956) - London, ENGLAND - OCT 7, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, ruby-brown with a soft, creamy head. Nose is mostly light berries, some mellow, lightly toasted dough. Light sweet flavor, some bready, dark doughy malts, cherries, grapes and other berries, almost no bitterness, but perhaps some light leaves. Light bodied with average carbonation. Somewhat bland to finish, a bit more of the berry character, some jammy fruits, lightly toasted dough, faint lingering leaves. Extremely basic, but not really offensive or anything. It’s easy.
