They say that beer rots the brain cells: I didn’t realise when I bought this that the 2.5 of the title referred to the alcohol content. However, it is a quite pleasant little drink for those who wish to stay sober and yet enjoy a beer. Hoppy and bitter enough to pass itself off as something stronger. A traditional British ale, just lacking a bit in substance with a feel of tin around the mouth.

Vintage tasting courtesy Lars, Randers Bryghus. Creamy white good mostly deminishing head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter ESBish flavor. Average light bitter ok finish. Oily palate. Tasted a little old but was still nice.

A combination of dry malty flavor and light hops. Very low alcohol content, but the flavor is still solid. I really like this brewery - and their packaging is beautiful.

Bottled. Less carbonated than Live Organic, which is sampled before this – slightly smaller head. Sweet, slightly hoppy aroma. As mentioned before this does taste rather thin and watery, though there is some pleasant, underlying bitterness. For a lower alcohol brew it is good, but I see little benefit in a low alcohol beer unless it is totally alcohol free.

The good thing about drinking bland beers like Bud is that after three or four the alcohol kicks in and you stop worrying about the lack of taste. The bad thing about drinking this bland beer is that you need seven or eight before you forget how thin and tasteless it is. I can accept alcohol free beers simply because I dont drink them. This just seems a waste of a fermenter.
