Medium offwhite head. Light brown body. Nutty malty aroma with hoppy notes. Dry papery light malt taste with medicinal rubbery notes. Watery mouthfeel. No real aftertaste, but medicinal taste lingers. Didn’t enjoy this too much. (0.5l bottle at RBNAG’07.)

Bottle. The beer is clear, has a amber/orange color and a creamy off-white head that is mostly diminishing after a few minutes. The aroma is of english hops, butterdscotch, citrus fruit, light caramel and hops. The taste has bitterness, english hops, citrusfruits, caramel. Some toasted notes and a bit of wood/leather. Dry and bitter finish. Light carbonation and medium body. Low alcohol % of 3.4, but still very much flavor. My favorite in the swedish "folköl" selection.

Hops and bitter in the nose, caramel hue, malty nouthfeel, light body, heavily hopped, some sweetness to finish. Hops too overpowering for my liking,.

Bottle, at Cardinal. Malty, toffeeish aroma with hops to balance it. The flavor is a bit more hoppy, but else it is the same malty and toffeeish thing. Medium body and a malty finish that could use more hops. And the pour was clear, golden with an off-white head. Quaffable one. (070623)

Pint in a shitty pub in Oxford. Very bitter tasting, perhaps a little too strong tasting for something with a lower alcohol content. Looks great in the glass and smells nice, but the taste almost attacks your taste buds.

Fresh 500ml bottle. Bought from Sainsburys where it was discounted to under £1. Pours a copper colour with a tiny head. Aroma is a sort of boiled malt with hops. Flavour is much the same, sweet boiled malt, caramel and slightly harsh bitterness. It is nothing like the cash version, not good.

Bottle. Copper with a minimal head. This was very one-dimensional. Malty aroma, malty flavour - a lot for a 3.4% beer, but boring, boring.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Cheap in a special offer and I was hoping to find a gem but didn’t drink more than a few mouthfuls. Just not my cup of tea - thin and watery, overly bitter given its little complexity, doesn’t sit well in the stomach. Nice amber colour and acceptable nose. Processed and artifical aftertaste. Glad to have tried any beer but won’t buy again.
