This cost me £1at Morrisons, so I cant really grumble, what did I expect for that sort of money! Looks ok, apart from the thin white head, nice copper colour. The nose has that unpleasant artificial feel to it ( if you can feel a smell!) reminds me a bit of rubber or am I a bit too tired or pissed to even care? Anyway I dont particularly like this, it tries hard but doesn’t quite get there...only a pound tho!

A deep copper colour with a moderate white head; toasty, malty aroma; malty and strongly bitter at first but with a gentler finish.

Pours deep copper with thin white head. Malty, vaguely sulphurous aroma. Full malty flavour with good bitterness, a little nutty, finish dry and lingering. Not bad for a bottled bitter at this strength.

Amber with a white head. Roasted malt aroma. Taste is more hoppy than malty. Despite its full flavour, I didn’t find this a particularly satisfying beer. There seemed to be other tastes lurking: plastic, metallic and depressing.

Bottle. Clear amber with an off-white foam. Aromas are toffee malts with lots of nuttiness. Spicy hops with some tea. Flavours are prickly hops with nuts and light toffee malts. Some fruitness with a bitter citrus, dry finish. Tasty for its strength.

Bottled. Faint aroma of caramel and hops. Amber color, almost no head, still leaving good lace though. Light sweet, some sourness in the background, light bitter start but rather bitter finish, light malty, hint of lemon, pretty hoppy. Sticky, bitter dry in the finish. Nice body for just 3.4% ABV. Highly drinkable but not in the category "really enjoying your beer".

Bottled. A light amber coloured beer with a tight whitish head that pretty much gives the impression of nitro or widget beers. The aroma is malty, a little nutty, a little Burtonic, and a little tinny. The taste has a salty character and more Burtonic snatch. Must remember this is only 3.4% and pasteurized but even so it’s not exactly pleasing.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Poured a lovely deep amber color with not much of a head. Plenty of fruit and malts in the aroma. Malty flavor taste with fruit hops., and a touch of bitter at the end.
