Dark amber colour with rapidly disappearing white head. Nutty malt aroma. Caramel malty flavour with flowery hop notes. Reasonable body given its weak ABV. Not bad but uninspired.

660ml bottle: Amber with beige head. Pleasant hoppy and flowery aromas. Sturdy hoppy character over a nice malty backbone ...some caramel and earthy undertones. Somewhat thin but finishes nice and bitter as promised. Quality brewing here.

[1700-20080912] Bottle. Malty grains aroma has some burnt plastic earth notes. Slightly hazy, brown red body with a quick creamy white head. Mildly mouldy wet grains flavour with a bit of mineral earth and rock (must be the Fuggles and Goldings). Medium body is dry. Sometimes good, sometimes not.

Pours amber, lightly carbonated. Aroma is very yeasty, smells like fresh brown bread, molasses, honey. Flavour: starts sweet with some dark raisin, toffee, molasses, then some chocolate. Finishes watery with some bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery and relatively light.

Bottle @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours a fine, rather clear, amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has quite a bit of butterscotch and caramel. Low carbonation, a little thin. Flavour is nicely dry, malty sweet with some elegant, flowery hops. Okay.

This ale poured a dark orange colour with a big rocky head. To the nose there are scents of sweet malt, corn and caramel. First taste is slightly bitter and watery. Flavours of caramel and hopps are very prodominant. The finish is slightly bitter with caramel flavours lingering. Light bitter palate.
