Aroma consists of light caramel malt with some dry Fuggles hops. Taste is also a mix between some dry Fuggles hops and a medium caramel malt base. I thought it was relatively well done for the style. minch25 (355), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Light-bodied; drinks like water. Is it supposed to taste this way? Can’t tell. Says best before 13 Apr 09. Seems could be really good with a few changes. Like some different hops? | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 19, 2008 Bottle - 500ml. Amber body with average carbonation and a fair off-white frothy head. Decent malty/hoppy aroma with bready hints. Its sharp hoppy taste lacks complexity and ends with a long bitter finish. Average Bitter. JesseM (665), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 16, 2008 500ml bottle from the LCBO. Dated April 11th, 2008. Pours a nice amber red with a big sticky white head. Aroma is caramalt with some sourness and no hops. Flavour is more of the same with a strong hop bitterness in the finish and some sour notes in the aftertaste. Creamy butteryness is apparent. Gets significantly worse as it warms. Seems to me like this one sat around too long, thanks again LCBO. jerc (3888), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Very nice copper amber body with a good sized off white head and a touch of lace (3+) Pleasant aroma with lots of English hops and light earth notes in the malt. (6+) Similar flavour, earthy English hops and malt. Very light grass touches, dry caramel. (6+_ Average plus palate is surprisingly full bodied for the abv. (3+) Rather decent. I don’t love the "English" character - by which I mean the earth character to the hops and malt is one I find prevalent in English brews, perhaps its the Fuggles, I am not sure - but it is pretty damn impressive for 3.7%! I probably wouldn’t return to it in a hurry but also wouldn’t turn up my nose at a few pints on tap. Bottle from the LCBO c/o Tupalev Quack-Duck (3175), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany
