I tried this beer on July 26, 2008 after pirchgasing from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a beautiful translucent red with a 1" off-white head that lingered a while. The aroma was sweet malt, and a definite hoppy sense. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, amply carbonated, and slightly bitter. The flavour was sweet malt, hops, and spicy. Easily drinkable. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2008 A golden ale with a thin resilient white head. Aroma of sweet caramel, vanilla, moka, with light hopping. In mouth, a biscuitty malt with light nutty bitterness, sustained, a bit of buttery notes. Rich for the low alcohol content. Bottle from LCBO. pootzboy (1046), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear amber-reddish ale in the mug with a sufficient rocky off white cap that has fair retention and fair lacing qualities.
The nose is caramely-sweet malts with light wisps of kent golding leafyness.
Interesting profile: up front caramel sewwet malts musty woody tones and twiggy hop tastes in almost a perfect 3-way balance then mid palate the hop bittering breaks out and builds til it is the dominant taste in the finish with a light caramel after tone.
Decent sessioner but not at these prices. Skidds (252), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 17, 2008 Has all the normal characteristics of an english bitter. Overall I found it a little weak in terms of flavour.Perhaps due to the low alcohol? wilderthanyou (415), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2008 Pours a burnt orange with next to no head, leaves behind sticky lacing. Aroma is weak, some caramel malt, toasted grain, barely any hops. The flavour is pretty much a reflection of the aroma with the toasted grain being the base of the flavours. I guess its ok for being a light bitter. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear dark orange with an average size semi-lasting white head. Aroma of toasted grain, light Goldings hops, caramel malt and fruit. Flavour’s the same, grainy with light hops, mild caramel malt and a hint of fruit. Decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. It’s too toasty/grainy for my liking but it’s still a pleasant enough light beer and it would be easy to quaff several of these. Sammy (3979), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
