ILduce (103), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 20, 2008 660ml bottle: Amber with beige head. Pleasant hoppy and flowery aromas. Sturdy hoppy character over a nice malty backbone ...some caramel and earthy undertones. Somewhat thin but finishes nice and bitter as promised. Quality brewing here. mabel (1710), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2008 [1700-20080912] Bottle. Malty grains aroma has some burnt plastic earth notes. Slightly hazy, brown red body with a quick creamy white head. Mildly mouldy wet grains flavour with a bit of mineral earth and rock (must be the Fuggles and Goldings). Medium body is dry. Sometimes good, sometimes not.
(c/o tupalev, w/ him, jerc) PaulHegedus (169), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Oct 17, 2008 Pours amber, lightly carbonated. Aroma is very yeasty, smells like fresh brown bread, molasses, honey. Flavour: starts sweet with some dark raisin, toffee, molasses, then some chocolate. Finishes watery with some bitterness. Mouthfeel is watery and relatively light. thewolf (4110), Kolding, Denmark Oct 3, 2008 Bottle @ Beer Exposed, September 2008.
Pours a fine, rather clear, amber with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has quite a bit of butterscotch and caramel. Low carbonation, a little thin. Flavour is nicely dry, malty sweet with some elegant, flowery hops. Okay.
