Bottle from Sainsbury’s. Cheap in a special offer and I was hoping to find a gem but didn’t drink more than a few mouthfuls. Just not my cup of tea - thin and watery, overly bitter given its little complexity, doesn’t sit well in the stomach. Nice amber colour and acceptable nose. Processed and artifical aftertaste. Glad to have tried any beer but won’t buy again.

Bottle 0.5l. Clear golden-copper with small off-white head. Sweetish malty aroma, bready, honey, floral. Medium sweet malty flavor, heavy hoppy bitterness, herbs, notes of honey and banana, unbalanced. Very dry, light carbonation. light body. Bitter aftertaste.

Not that classy as it was in tap, but it still allows some moments of pleasure. Malty start with a decent touch of nuts followed by hops, some spruce and barley. Crispy finish and high drinkability, balanced, semi-bitter end. Fine one.

Bottle from Waitrose in East Cowes. Beer pours out in a deep brown colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of torf and hops. Taste of bitter hops, light malt, barley, straw, nuts and light torf. Bitter finish. Average ale.

Bottled. Clear copper colour with a small/medium, white, foamy head. Noticeable carbonation. Sweet, malty aroma. Smooth and creamy in the mouth, with some acidity to balance. A dry, earthy finish. Pretty good.

Fragrant, balanced, three malts provide a stable, rich base. Hops are two kinds of good reveals flavors of ingredients. Thanks to the two fermentations, which is used for brewing, a very aromatic bitters with a rich bouquet and complex, harmonious taste.

Pours clear dark orange with a big white head. Smells of caramel. Some caramel in the flavour too, but there’s something not very nice about this.

Bottle at the Deldays. Not too gassy. Quite thin. An okay beer, not really anything special.

malty and fruity aroma with shades of citrus and garden berries... light and smooth taste of malt, grasses with notes of fruits and lollipop... sweet and bitter aftertaste...

Straightforward English bitter brewed with Goldings and Fuggles. Really looked the part with dark golden and hint of red colour. Lovely head which was retained for most of the drink. I just couldn’t pick out any particular fruity or malty flavours. Just kept thinking "this is a really nice pint". Left for me to savour by RD.
