1. Cask Handpump at the GBBF Earl’s Court, London 09/08/2008 Some malt aroma. Golden coloured and hoppy and a little thin on the palate. Crisp malt finish. 2. Cask Handpump at the Duke Of Portland, Lach Dennis 30/05/2009 Citrus hop aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and smooth on the palate with a little dryness in a crisp creamy and bitter malt finish.

Cask@GBBF2008. Deep golden colour, small white head. Aroma is yeast, fruits, toffee, rotten vegetables and some mild caramol. Flavour is dry grass, toffeeish notes along with fruityness and mild yeastyness. Dry grassy finish.

A Mes rate: cask handpull at GBBF.
Dirty gold with a thin white film. Sweet and dull citrus over shadowed by some heavy caramel that is moving into diacetyl territory. Pretty rank. Fail.

Cask at the Crooked Billet, Wokingham. Straw with a white head; an appealing citrus aroma; citrus and malt flavours and some dry hops to finish. Very pleasant on a warm day, but not much to it.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Smooth zesty hop aromas, malt in background and slightly farty yeast. Other than the yeast fairly pleasant but a bit mildly flavoured. I seem to remember the Henley brewed version having a more distinct malt character and a better hop finish.

Cask gravity at The George, Bethersden, Summer BF 2006. Pale copper with thin lasting off white head. Yeasty, hoppy, citrus aroma. Fine in mouth, malts are there but understated. Very dry hoppy finish. Earthy, spritzey finish. Overall, a yeasty, citric bitter.
