COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
Brakspear Oxford Gold is a remarkably zesty brew, with fresh, citrussy aromas and a firm, fruity flavour. Pale ale malts provide the beer with its gold-gilt shimmer, spruced by a hatful of crystal malts to give body, texture and a delicate honey’d wrap. Organic Target hops deliver a shamelessly fresh perfume, whilst late hopping with organic Goldings and fermentation by our Brakspear yeasts give Brakspear Oxford Gold a fabulous, fruity finish.

Cask. Golden bodied, aroma of cereal malts and fruity floral hops. Lean body, low carbonation and smooth texture. Decent hop bitterness to finish with a slight lingering bready/metallic note. Kind of average.

A gentle and very drinkable golden ale. Very slight aroma of new mown hay with bittering hops kept in the background and no noticeable finish. A little delicate for the darker months but a nice summer drink especially when surrounded by the rolling Chiltern Hills.

Silky smooth citrus based ale. Only slightly clouded it is pale yellow in appearance with a creamy head. Aroma is malty and zesty with a lemon hint, more a medium bitter in taste.

Proper bitter yo. Not bitter as in bitter, but bitter as in what English bitter really is. This tastes like bitter. It’s not bitter but it is. Proper bitter. You get me?

A fantastic beer which is best enjoyed in a sunny beer garden or in front of a cosy fire. A very relaxed taste

Cask at The Forge, Gornal, West Midlands. More amber than gold. Pretty straight down the middle bitter: decent head; aroma of ginger and hops; some bitterness but not the longest finish; refreshing, not dry. It’s decent enough but it doesn’t stand out in any way.
