Clean and clear dark amber nectar with a luscious foamy head. A nice level of hops gives it some depth as well as allowing it to be nice and refreshing!

Bamsen78 (3106) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - APR 22, 2014
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with fruity notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with estery notes and touches of fruit and citrus. Mildly bitter finish. Low carbonation. Watery. OK but nothing to sweep me off my feet. Not off as such, even though the bottle is past the BBD. May need re-rating.

One of the hidden gems in run-of-the-mill shops, it’s a simple ’classical’ bitter, but as the blurb says the Brakspear yeast really adds an interesting, zesty, pear & spice note (just as White Labs WLP029 does). A nice dry finish makes it a simple beer that you could drink a few of.
