English Target hops give this beer a remarkable aroma. Late hopping with Goldings and fermentation by the Brakspear yeast creates a remarkable zesty aroma, a full fruity flavour and a golden colour. All Hops and Barley used in this beer are organically grown and produced. Malts: Organic Pale & Crystal Hops: Organic Target and Goldings

Bottle. Pours clear dark gold with a medium, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt, light diacetyl, herbal hops and pear esters. Flavor is medium hops and bitterness, light sweet malt, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium to light body and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with fruity notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with estery notes and touches of fruit and citrus. Mildly bitter finish. Low carbonation. Watery. OK but nothing to sweep me off my feet. Not off as such, even though the bottle is past the BBD. May need re-rating.

One of the hidden gems in run-of-the-mill shops, it’s a simple ’classical’ bitter, but as the blurb says the Brakspear yeast really adds an interesting, zesty, pear & spice note (just as White Labs WLP029 does). A nice dry finish makes it a simple beer that you could drink a few of.

Bottle 500 ml from La Maladière Centre - Neuchâtel (CH). Deep golden with a short white head. Aromas of malt, vanilla, zest and herbs. The taste is dry, earthy with zesty hops, citrus, fruity and toffee. In finale, a excellent bitterness.

Malt, bread, fruits and some citrus in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Medium sweet and medium + bitter. Light body with a soft carbonation. Overall a nice bitter, but not something to remember.

Not particularly outstanding but perfectly drinkable. Wouldn't go looking for it specifically though.

500 mL bottle into a pint glass. Clear amber, gassy, good bubbly head. Nice Goldings aroma, with a hint of citrus to it. Crisp, light citrus, quite tasty. A nice drop, a good English bitter.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2014 330ml brown bottle, pours clear golden with a medium sized off-white head, that reduced quickly leaving almost no lacing. Aroma is faint of wheat bread, corn and some metallic notes. Flavours of wheat bread, caramel and toffee. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Palate is light-medium bodied, slightly oily texture and average carbonation. Despite to a somewhat disagreeable aroma, the flavour is quite good. Overall this is a decent bitter.
