"The Oxfordshire Beer"
Previously sub-titled "Organic Beer"
Ingredients: Pale & Crystal malts; Styrian Golding, Golding, Fuggle and Admiral hops
Brakspear Oxford Gold is a remarkably zesty brew, with fresh, citrussy aromas and a firm, fruity flavour. Pale ale malts provide the beer with its gold-gilt shimmer, spruced by a hatful of crystal malts to give body, texture and a delicate honey’d wrap.

500ml bottle at home, 4.6% BB July 2016. Clear, dark orange, sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is light and pretty non-descript with some toffee and dough. Body is medium to light, foamy, soft. Taste is cardboard, water, tissue. Finishes a little chalky with a soft bitterness. There’s nothing offensive about this at all, it’s just very bland.

Bottle from Seoul Plaza. Lots of metallic flavour and aroma, otherwise there is typical British hops character, floral, earthy, but drowned in off elements. Not good.

Bottle 500ml. Pours clear light orange with a slight green tint. Head is quite short, dense, foamy and light cream in color. Scent is mild, with slight fruity notes and light malt. Mouth feel is lightly creamy and somewhat foamy, carbonation is medium, but with a strong tingling effect. Body is medium. Tastes slightly sweet at first and quickly turns gently bitter, with hopiness, and quite dry. Quite acidic. Flavor is light malt, fruity hops, Bitter hops, slight citrus, gentle honey, white dry wine. After taste is dry with notable honey flavor. Drinkable, but not interesting, too acidic and dry.

Very nice session ale pours gold with nice white head no standout flavours but nice mix of sweet and bitter could happily have a night out on this a definate springtime ale.
