English Target hops give this beer a remarkable aroma. Late hopping with Goldings and fermentation by the Brakspear yeast creates a remarkable zesty aroma, a full fruity flavour and a golden colour. Opening this beer releases a geyser that lived in the bottle, and I lost half of the contents :( The head is, as you can understand, huge, but also very lasting, and it leaves good lacing. The color is like a golden cognac and the aroma is alluring and flowery. The flavour is refreshing, hoppy with notes of light fruit and flower, and the bitterness is OK. It’s a charming organic ale with a nice long finish.

July 2009: Brown 500ml bottle, one month past its Best Before Date. This is an organic beer and bottle conditioned. Poured into a standard pint glass, most likely a bit colder than it would have liked (it was a hot day), the beer had been left in the fridge a bit longer than it should have been! Mini haze to this tangarine orange coloured beer, plenty of carbonisation rising through to replenish the white foaming head. No lacing, but the head stayed for a long time, so condition of the beer was fine, even though I’d over cooled it. Aroma of spicey hops and yeast esters, some malty smells arrived as it warmed in the sun. There is a tang and pungency to the taste, bitter with an easy mixed fruit feel to it. No trace of any malt in the flavour, but it was sharp, refreshing and invigorating, a good beer for a hot day or night.

What can I say? I don't get the zesty aroma that it claims to have on the bottle and neither do I get the fruit either. I guess the most important thing is that I like it and I'd order another. It won't win any awards, but it will quench my thirst on a hot summers day! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear, bubbly golden body with no head. Pretty fruity (for a bitter), with some apple, grass and sharp hops. Heavy carbonation, which hides the taste a bit. Light sweet and just very mellow overall. Easy to drink but without much character. Decent but nothing special. Cool that this is organic. (50cl bottle)

Smell of musky malt with a light orange fruitiness, toasted. Medium dark amber witha thick lasting soapy lasting frothy white head. Bittersweet malt, caramel, apricot and orange peal. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Dry bitter sticky finish. A smooth an good bitter but too impressive. The Brakspear Tripple is so much better.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours light amber with thin but staying head. Slightly hazy. Aroma very subdued and reserved, nothing to report really. Taste is overwhelmed a quite unpleasant hop taste. Malt is too much in the background for my taste. Quite meaningless beer, unless you specifically like this hop variety?

Decent head and about the right level of carbonation. Quite orangey aromas of honey and hints of vanilla. Not too bitter in taste an well balanced.
