Cask at GBBF 2006. A hazy orange beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, and the flavor is sweet malty with light hoppy notes, leading to a dry end. Boring.

Cask (GBBF 2006): Golden with a beige short lasting head. Simple malty start, light earthy hops in the finish. Just another bitter.

Cask conditioned at The Saye & Sele Arms, Broughton, Oxon. Brown amber beer with bubbly white head. Typical Brakspear, dry malty bitter with a touch of sulpher on the tongue. Mouthdrying with a further dry bitterness on the finish. Enjoyable for a couple on a Sunday afternoon.

Cask at the Swan, Bicester. Copper coloured beer that was really malty also a bit sweet but unfortunately served too cold, not the first time I have encountered this problem in this pub. Once this had warmed up a bit it really was quite ok but didn’t differ too much from the usual Brakspear style.

Cask@GBBF 06’. Sweet and malty to start, slightly sticky. Some slight citric hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is a little sticky and sweet, its pretty boring.
