The aroma is very lightly fruity. The color is an unclear amber and it has a flat head. The flavor is a lovely slightly sweet fruity flavor from a really good malt blend. It also has a really good aroma hops - but it is most significant in the flavor. It ends on a lovely bitterness. All in all a fantastic flavor - but the palate is a little light.

This was my last bottle from the Henley Brewery. No more will we be able to drink Brakspears as it should be. Bye Bye o fair brewery, may those that sold you down the river burn in hell.

Didn;t mind it, nice chary malt flavour, and nice hop bitterness, another english bitter i guess.

Darkish brown beer with a lightly hopped aroma and a lightly malted but more hopped flavour. Overall a very reasonable beer.

Pours with a decent head, settling into a thin head tyipcal of a bitter, but carbonation persists in palate for some time. Aroma is mild but with distinctive caramel. Flavor well balanced, not particularly bitter in finish. Better than any of the other Brakspears Iíve had. (bottle)

Bottled. Copper bronze, low head and moderate condition. Good caramel and peppery hop aromas leading to a nicely balanced body with plenty of malt and hops to keep your attention and a hint of vinegar character. Finish is sweet with a long hop bitterness. Complex and tasty for such a low abv. A hard act to follow for the new brewers.

Very nice colour. Malty aroma with a slightly soapy edge. A little soapiness in the flavour as well, but itís quickly offset by hints of caramel and a moderate bitterness.

Sweet, malt aroma, with a bit of caramel/butterscotch. Copper with tiny head. Bitter/malt flavour, well balanced. Bitter with a full mouth feel. A fair Bitter.

I don't know why I like this brewery so darn much - some of their beer are just ordinary, like this one. I thought it was a touch bitter and one-dimensional. Bland.

Pretty light on the malts with a noticeable bitterness and astringency in the finish.
