That’s nice. I never triple dropped, though I have been known to double drop a few times. Who’d triple drop? Oh yeah, Ryder. Remember story about him dropping 30 just as the cops were about to stop him. Had a heart attack apparently haha. Nice and roasty, seems I prefer it to the 7.2 version, but I’m sure I’d enjoy that more now too.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This has Damian Marley’s mum written all over it, although they can’t spell. Unlike his father’s penchant for a ’one drop’ this is a triple drop. I have no dea whatsoever if that makes it better or not. The rum is appropriate and pleasing. Molasses too. I had neither blue cheese or fruit and nut so can’t put these to the test. Yes, I like this. Bargain at £1.69 as well.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle (330ml, bottle conditioned version):
Strong malt aroma to begin that is paired with a sweet and rather fruity aroma that has hints of darker fruits and a noticeable caramel smell that is quite pleasant. There is a little bit of apple, some spice and a touch of sugar.
A deep chestnut to copper colour with a small, foamy head that is slightly off-white in colour and settles to a thin lacing after a few minutes.
Very rich and sweet with a good mix of caramel, toffee and dark fruit to begin with, coupled with some sweet sugar and a rich, malty base. There is some dates and apple along with a hint of vanilla too.
Very smooth with a medium body and medium carbonation as well. There is some definite spice and a very slightly dry ending.
An excellent beer with tonnes going on and a beer that strikes a great balance between the rich malty flavours and the sweet, dark fruit like ones. The caramel that both the aroma and taste start with are a lot stronger than I would have expected but this is a beer that I will be seeking out again in the near future.

Bottle@home courtey of theydon_bois, cheers Colin!
Dark honey brown with heavy malt and a touch of esters and higher alcohol on the nose and vanilla in behind. Quite full bodied with the alcohol at the forefront, both ethanol and higher, then sweet digestive biscuits and molasses and some dried fruits. Aside from the higher alcohols its quite tasty.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pors amber with a nice frothy white head which quickly dissipates. Sweet aroma of banana esters.Flavour of sickly banana bubblegum, but not undrinkable by any means. Weak watery bodyfeel. Slight lingering bitter sweet aftertaste. Doesn’t taste it’s strength.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear deep amber reddish brown with a thick creamy lasting lacy beige head. Herbal vanilla smell with malt, light roast and a hint of alcohol. Medium to full oily body. Very smooth. Flat. Sweet taste of fruit (berries and raisins) biscuit malt toffee with a bitter peppery warming belly herbal dry finish. It has some elements of a spirit, like rum in its alcohol. It doesn’t have the roast that it predecessor did nor the citrus. It lost the Christmas cake appeal and now moved to a more fruit cake. It feels similar but yet clearly different. Now its a beer likely to be drank more often rather than a special treat that it used to be. Its a shame that both are not available. Nonetheless, this is a great beer too but not as excellent as it used to be.
