looks like a bitter shandy, hazy and pale with just a little orange. a cloud of soft sediment releases at the end of pouring, which slowly sinks and leaves behind numerous tiny floating particles of grain (i hope). aroma continues the shandy theme, but now leaning more towards a lager variety or even a berliner weiss. somewhere at the back is a little bit of golden ale screaming to get out. taste starts with a punch reminiscent of geueze, joined quickly by metallic bitterness. then come tangerines, wine gums. makes a final, gentle flourish of hop bitterness. palate is fizzy on first contact, very quickly settling down to a smooth, light syrup. leaves a slightly cloying feel on the tongue, but then the dry flavours draw out enough saliva to wash it away. finish is long but ends on a slightly plastic note.
