Originally rated on 1/14/14-My first from this new brewer. The body is a slightly hazy orange amber, the head is thin but leaves some nice lace on the glass. Aromas of biscuts, grapefruit, and piney hops, nice but not terribly assertive. Medium body, a little chewy, and stickey but not overly so. Flavors have a nice hop bitterness, grapefruit, the rye is well balanced with the bready malts. Easy to drink, not overbearing, overall it was pretty decent.

An almost clear one, orange-golden in color, topped by a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has quite a lot of pine cones, with resins and some tropical fruityness. A touch of pale malts too, both in aroma and flavor, with a solid bitterness. Pine cones and resins. Full body, semi-dry and with a tad hard carbonation. Lasting bitter and piney finish. Fruity too. Nothing special going on here, but it’s a nice beer anyway. 141219

The bitter is most of what I taste. The aroma is probably a bit more complex and interesting. Sure feels good going down though.

Hazy amber with a slightly copper tint. Aroma is piney, and grassy. Smooth, medium body. Mild for a rye, but not bad.
