Deze op van de tap. Dubbelbock smaakt echt naar bockbier maar dan erg sterk kwa smaak. Ik drink deze nooit meer, veel te sterk kwa smaak.

On tap at Absolute. Nice clear deep red-brown pour with thick foamy off white head. Aroma is malty, light toasty notes, lots of caramel. Taste is sweet, a bit acrid, strong toasty flavors, a bit watery on the palate, med carbonation. Meh.

Samen met de Gulpener Bock is het een van de betere bockbiertjes die er zijn, smaak is goed niet te bitter en niet te zoet.

ok but not great. Nice ruby brown with small head and soft prickly carbonation. Not too sweet. Flavor is mostly malts, brown sugar and some bitter hops. there is a nice spicy note and a metallic element that’s less favorable. Body is a bit thin. In most bocks the roasted malts are a big part of the flavor. I do not like it when that dominates. This is the first bock I feel has too little.

0,3 liter fles. @home. Schuim valt direct weg. Smaak valt mee doch de alcoholsmaak bederft veel.

Clear amber colour, beige head. Spicy, malty aroma and taste: sweet and bitter. Soft mouthfeel, good body, medium carbonation. Pleasant drink.

Clear mahogany with small white head. Roasted malts and grains, lots brown sugar and a touch of ash. Some spices and a weird vegetal touch. Very sweet with slight bitter finish. Watery feel. Actually not too bad for a macro bock.

Dark brown / red beer with a white head, medium carbonation. Armoas are caramel, herby hops and roasted malt. Taste is sweet with a nice bitter aftertaste.

33cl bottle with the new style brand botles, which is nice.. Appearance: red brown with a 1 finger sized head. Aroma: A bit Weak, sweet malt, caramel Taste: Sweet Dutch doppelbock, caramelised malts, some herbal hops and a inish with some roasted malts and light nuts. Which medium body, average carbonation. Decent a bit too sweet starting (Typical for Dutch bocks) but the finish provided a decent balannce. Lacks however complexity.
