3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught Huge yellow-amberish, slightly irregular head; beautiful red-chestnut colour. Very nutty, sweet-alcoholic smelling, even jam-like. Sweet taste, brown sugar, leaves, caramel or toffee flavours, nutty. Very slick, even a tad syrupy, fatty. Very classical, but I must confess, far from bad. Sweetness has been the option, but despite that it shows some character.

Keg on tap at Kaffee De Knijnspiel, Maastricht. Dark brown with cream head. Fruity sweet beer, some roasted character but the sweetness dominates a little. A little late hop saves the score.
